finely carved in the round as an elephant standing four-square with its head looking down, its trunk curled alongside its foreleg, supporting a foreigner on its back seated cross-legged upon a fine cloth, dressed in a flowing robe, his right hand touching his head framing an expressive face with a broad smile, the white stone with russet inclusions.
