of cylindrical form, finely potted with slightly tapering sides rising from a short foot to a waisted neck and slightly everted rim, flanked by a pair of flat gu-vase-shaped mock handles below the rounded shoulders, the ovoid body covered on the exterior with an opaque turquoise-blue glaze of robin's-egg type suffused overall with finely mottled dark greyish-purple, the base incised with a six-character seal mark all beneath the glaze, the unglazed foot dressed in a brown wash.
