the gently curved sides rising from a flat base to a gilt lipped rim, set with a gilt-bronze loop handle to one side, the exterior decorated with scrolling leafy lotus below a band of wan symbols alternating with the bagua, the base with a central bagua medallion encircled by ruyi heads and the beribboned bajixiang, the interior gilt; together with a cloisonné enamel ‘lotus’ box and cover, Qing dynasty, 18th century.
