The vases are similary decorated on one side in vibrant shades of underglaze blue with the 'Three Star Gods', alongside their attendants variously holding tribute gifts symbolising longevitiy. The other side is inscribed with various shou character rendered in different forms of seal script.
Provenance: An Italian private collection, acquired in the 1960s.
The current vases in situ in the collector’s residence, circa 1980.
