the ovoid body rising to broad shoulders and an elongated, slightly waisted neck, the sides boldly painted with large cobalt-blue ruyi-shaped lappets each enclosing a central lotus bloom surrounded by dense leafy scrolls all in reserve, a further lotus blossom suspended in the negative space between each lappet, all above upright stylized leaves encircling the foot, the neck similarly decorated with upright leaves above a band of clouds, the base unglazed.
