Note: Yue celadon pieces in animal form were very popular in the Six Dynasties period (220-589). See a collection of such pieces in Animal Farm in Yue Ware, Uragami Sokyu-do Co., Ltd, Tokyo 1992, including a jar in the shape of bear, pl. 0, and several ram figures, pls. 1-4; another example in form of a mythical beast is illustrated in Qianfeng cui se Yueyao te zhan / Special Exhibition of Early Chinese Greenware, Taipei, 1996, pl. 214.
