The ewer is of cylindrical form on a short foot with flattened shoulder, flaring neck and strap handle, decorated in a golden-brown lustre on a cobalt-blue glaze with abstract vegetal motifs and a band of inscription to the rim.

Provenance: Adolphe Stoclet Collection, acquired in the early 20th century.
