Made in the form of an archaistic bronze jue, the U-shaped body is supported on three slender legs splayed outwards, the wide spout carved around the sides with a broad band of leafy stems and chrysanthemums, applied overall with a lustrous pale olive glaze with exception of the foot burnt to an orange tone, stand, Japanese wood box. (3)
Note: The cover of the Japanese wood box bearing an inscription dated the eleventh year of the Bunka period (1814, the nineteenth year of Jiaqing period in China). See a similar example with related design and decoration in the Shanghai museum.
