A purple splashed 'Jun' jar. Jin / Yuan Dynasty, 13th Century
the globular body supported on a short splayed foot, the short wide neck flanked by two loop handles, splashed on both sides with a large area of rich purple on the pale milky blue glaze draining from the rim to reveal the russet body beneath and stopping short on the foot burnt brown in the firing - 10.8cm., 4 1/2 in - Estimate 300,000—400,000 HKD - Not sold.
