Designed as a three rows of circular and oval-cut rubies, spaced by two circular, single and baguette-cut diamond plaques, to two rows of circular and oval-cut rubies, joined by a circular and single-cut diamond clasp, mounted in platinum, 1927, 7 ins. By Cartier, London. Estimate $400,000 - $600,000

With certificate no. 1010 dated 14 July 1998 from Cartier Joailliers stating that the bracelet is by Cartier

With report CS 45472 dated 18 July 2011 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that it is the opinion of the Laboratory that the origin of the rubies would be classified as Burma (Myanmar). Heat Enhancement: None

With report 9906201 dated 29 June 1999 from Gübelin Gem Lab stating that gemmological testing revealed characteristics consistent with those of rubies originating from Burma (Myanmar). No indications of thermal enhancement 

Notes: This elegant ruby and diamond bracelet from 1927 is an exemplar of striking Art Deco style. The juxtaposition of the vivid rubies and brilliant white diamonds is quintessential of the time period, with the expert craftsmanship and extraordinary design sensibility that have become synonymous with Cartier creations.
