the ovoid body with a rounded shoulder and a short mouth, painted in cobalt blue, iron red, yellow, green and black enamels, with four lobed panels of birds flying amongst flowering and fruiting branches, all below a frieze of four similarly decorated cartouches against a coin-diaper ground at the shoulder, and above a row of upright lappets above the foot, the slightly recessed base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character reign mark.
