Decorated with two quartrelobe panels of chinoiserie scenes set in elaborate Böttger lustre cartouches surrounded by iron red and puce scrollwork, the spout with a grotesque head picked out in gold, the spout and handle with Kakiemon flowers and insects, the edge of the pot with a wide gold ornamental border, the domed cover with two similar chinoiserie scenes, held together by a gilt metal chain, 12cm high, KPM and crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilders numbers 98 to both pot and cover, (finial and spout restored) (2).
