An Enameled White Glass Snuff Bottle. Imperial, Attributed To Yangzhou, Qianlong Four-Character Seal Mark In Pale Iron Red And Late In The Period, 1767-1799. Photo: Christie's Images Ltd 2012
The flattened ovoid bottle is enameled with butterflies fluttering above a lily and dianthus on one side and a cricket in flight above African marigolds, yashecao (duck's tongue plant) and a flowering tree on the reverse. The elliptical foot is slighty concave. Together with a pale russet and yellowish agate snuff bottle, 1800-1900, carved in the round as finger citrons borne on a leafy branch. 2 9/16 and 2 1/16 in. (6.5 and 5.3 cm.) high, rose quartz stopper and green glass stopper (2). Estimate $3,000 - $5,000
