the deep rounded sides rising to a lipped rim, painted to the exterior with a scene from Sanguo Yanyi (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) depicting warriors by a river landscape, the base with an apocryphal six-character Jiajing mark; 18cm., 7 1/8 in. Estimation: 10,000 - 15,000 GBP
