The largest opal matrix stone was found in the outback Opal Fields of South Australia
Stuart Hughes of Liverpool along with his partners in Australia have recently uncovered the world’s largest Opal matrix.
It was found in the outback Opal Fields of South Australia.
This precious stone weighs in at an amazing 55,000 carats.
The stone is still in South Australia.
The length is about 30cm, height varies from 15-20cm and its around 4cm thick.
Set to go to auction in the UK valued at just over 1 million Dollars.
