comprising a large display jar, two albarelli, two ovoid vases, and two syrup jars, each with drug name in manganese on a label within floral borders, the shoulders with an apothecary's sign and the initials A.S., the shoulders of the display jar inscribed Arsenio Sagoriti/ Speziale in Corfu, Quantité: 7 - the display jar 36cm. 14in., the syrup jars 19cm 7 1/2 in., the ovoid jars 14cm. 5 1/2 in., the albarelli 13.5cm. 5 1/4 in. high

Note: It is most unusual to find the full name of the apothecary spelled out, and it seems likely that the large albarello here was for display in the shop window. It is also of some interest to see evidence of trading between the potters of Pesaro and the island of Corfu.
