the deep gently curved sides rising from a short tapering foot to a slightly incurved rim, modelled with a ridge to the interior and resist-decorated with plum blossom florets reserved on a dark brown against a purplish-brown ground, the exterior with a dark brown glaze stopping short of the unglazed foot, revealing the light buff body, Japanese wood box (3). Diameter 4 3/4  in., 12 cm
