stoutly potted, of cylindrical form inscribed around the exterior in underglaze blue with the preface, Song Meng Dongye Xu (Farewell to Meng Dongye), written by the Tang dynasty scholar official Han Yu, accompanied by an inscription dated dingmao year, corresponding to 1687 and signed Zhong Ling Shan Zi, followed by a four-character seal reading zidi shanzi, the flat base with a countersunk mark to the center with a four-character hall mark reading Yuqingtang zhi.
