the rounded slightly tapering sides vibrantly painted in rich tones of cobalt blue with a continuous scene depicting two scholars standing on a narrow rocky path conversing with one pointing to an elegant pavilion nestled among trees and rockeries in the distance, in the foreground a fisherman guiding a boat to the opposite shore towards two further scholars sitting comfortably with a young attendant carrying a qin close by beneath a tall, dense grove of pine trees, a flock of birds flying overhead amid gentle clouds, the waisted neck with a leiwen band below circlets and ruyi-head borders, the base with a double circle.
