the seated figure holding a fan with a daisho slung around his waist, the moulded details of the laced sode, do and undergarments clearly delineated, the kabuto with shikoro and large turnbacks with mon, the maedate in the form of a tama in the centre of the kuwagata, all decorated in iron-red, green, blue, yellow and black enamels, the figure seated on an armour, box.
Note: Of this Kakiemon model there are at present only two other examples recorded. One in the Burrell Collection, Glasgow Scotland and the other in a private overseas collection.
