Note: This striking bowl is decorated with the rarely used technique of blowing cobalt-blue through a gauze-covered tube onto a porcelain surface applied with stencils to create a white reserve design. Another bowl of this pattern in the Tsui Museum of Art, Hong Kong, is illustrated in The Tsui Museum of Art, Hong Kong, 1991, pl. 93.
