Note: This is a fine example of a monochrome glaze made during the Yongzheng period of the Qing dynasty, following the example of a bronze goblet of the Shang and Zhou periods. The bronze goblet was a drinking vessel during the Shang and Zhou periods. It was used as a drinking vessel during the Shang and Zhou periods. The goblet is not a goblet. The collection of the bronze goblets is also known as 'goblet', which is a ceremonial vessel. Shuowen. The Jiao Wen (角部): "Goblet is also a drinking vessel for the countryside. According to Ma Chengyuan, the former director of the Shanghai Museum, bronze goblets can be divided into more than ten types according to the shape of the vessel. The three Qing emperors promoted the imitation of antiquity in the aesthetics of porcelain, and a large number of porcelain goblets were produced at the official kilns of Jingdezhen during this period. There are many examples in both public and private collections of monochrome glazes with plain surfaces from the Yong-Qian period, but those decorated with moulded imitation bronze decoration are rare.
