painted in the center with Shoulao grasping a ruyi, flanked by an attendant holding a staff suspending a pair of peaches, and a recumbent deer, all beneath an overhanging pine tree and amidst lingzhi, within a double line border repeated around the rim, the underside encircled by a continuous scene of the 'Eight Immortals', all in shades of cobalt blue, six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle. 

Note: The present dish maybe compared to dishes of similar form, size and composition bearing apocryphal Chenghua marks. Two related examples were sold in our London rooms, 23rd June 1981, lot 231 and in these rooms, 14th September 2011, lot 414.
