This dagger was given in February 1697 on the orders of Augustus the Strong by the hounds hunter Ziegler at the Indian Chamber and belongs to a group of very similar weapons that are distributed across multiple museums in Europe. Its blade is provided with round along with silbertauschierten stars. The handle and scabbard are adorned with inlaid turquoise and coral. In the vagina there are two indistinct embarked Tughren, which are to be regarded with some imagination as Tughra of Sultan Mustafa II (1695-1703). Accordingly, the dagger would have occurred in the period 1695-1697 and could theoretically a piece of loot from the Turkish campaigns of Augustus the Strong have been.
