1617 came as a gift from Emperor Matthias of Elector Johann Georg I of Saxony, one of the most magnificent Ottoman weapons in the armory of the entire Dresden collection. The straight double-edged blade of this dagger is repeatedly broken and rich tauschiert with Fiederblattranken and small rosettes in gold. In the channel near the handle there are two small, movable beads. Support handle, guard and scabbard are completely covered with beaten gold plate. In the evenly distributed over the entire surface hump-like protrusions numerous rubies and turquoises are inserted. The scabbard is decorated more reticent on their back. Between differently shaped medallion with raised flower spirals the remaining surfaces with an even smaller-scale, engraved tendrils are covered. The curved towards the blade, guard the border in short toggle dragon heads. Leave some small damage to the gold plate on the vagina realize that the strongly spatially driven plate is lined with a plaster-like mass.
