finely carved to the exterior in relief with lappet panels each containing one of the Eight Buddhist Emblems above a narrow beaded border, the interior sides carved with two registers of finely incised lotus petals, the center forming the pod, repeated at the base, all resting on a shaped petal-form foot, the translucent stone suffused with pale milky occlusions and a single russet streak.
