of cylindrical section, the exterior decorated in underglaze blue with a continuous scene depicting a standing scholar looking at a warrior seated astride a horse, the warrior dressed in military attire and holding a long spear in his left hand, all within a rural setting with jagged rockwork and large pine trees, all between an incised 'classic' scroll band around the mouthrim and a chevron band encircling the foot, the base left unglazed; 15.6 cm., 6 1/8 in.
