The globular body and waisted neck densely painted in gilt with small medallions variously enclosing flowers, cranes, beasts and stylised shou characters, separated by a band to the shoulder enclosing scrolling tendrils and lotus flower heads, with a further band of ruyi-heads to the rim and lappets above the foot. 38.1cm (15in) high
