well potted with flaring sides, raised on three short baluster feet encircling a protruding medallion with bevelled edges providing an additional support beneath the censer, moulded around the exterior with the 'Eight Trigrams' between horizontal bands in relief, applied overall with an attractive sea-green glaze, extending onto the interior and thinning to white along the edges, save for the central section of the base and part of the interior left unglazed revealing a pale buff-coloured stoneware burnt orange in the firing - 17 cm., 6 5/8 in.
