his vessel of precious cobalt blue glass had probably originally a lid and served as a chalice. The revolving scenes take on this use relation: the value represented in the Sacrifice of Christ's sacrificial death is considered an atonement for the fall of the first human couple. You can see the Erschaff ung Eve from Adam's rib, and the killing of Abel by his brother Cain. The paintings date back to Bible printed illustrations. Artisans developed with the spread of printmaking since the Renaissance new image sources.
Glassmaking is documented in Venice since the Middle Ages. Numerous new or revived from antiquity processing forms
were developed here, including since the mid 15th century the enamel painting. SN
