each gilt and enamelled at the centre, one with the coat-of-arms of Vlaanderen, the other with the coat-of-arms of Nameur, framed by two pairs of birds in flight amidst peony and chrysanthemum blooms, the well and rim with shaped panels variously enclosing scholars in landscapes, pairs of birds and fish, all reserved on an underglaze-blue diaper ground.
