Around the representation fields with various geometric motifs. On the wall and rim alternating wide and narrow fields. In the broad fields alternately valuables and peach motif ; in the narrow fields snare work.
From the late 16th century porcelain kilns in Jingdezhen produced thinly potted kraak dishes decorated with fluid underglaze painting in blue. A characteristic feature of this ware is the division of the border into alternating narrow and wide panels. It was a true export product for the porcelain’s standardised sizes and relatively light weight made it easy to transport.
