The exterior is well enamelled with four gilt-bordered roundels enclosing sprays of peonies, peaches, camellia and pomegranates, divided by stylised lotus sprigs against a sgraffiato ruby-pink ground; the interior is painted in underglaze blue with a central medallion of a basket of flowers, surrounded by four detached clusters of lingzhi growing beside other flowering and fruiting plants on the cavetto. 6 in. (15.2 cm.) diam.
