the deep rounded sides decorated to the interior with three quatrefoil papercut panels, each enclosing a four-character phrase, with one reading changming fugui ('long life, wealth and honor') and two reading fushou rongchang ('wealth, longevity and prosperity'), all below a papercut diaper band at the rim and reserved against the variegated buff-brown ground, the exterior irregularly splashed 'tortoiseshell' glaze of rich dark brown with mottled beige splashes, stopping neatly above the foot to expose the buff stoneware body
