the rounded sides rising to a gently everted rim, painted to the interior in iron-red with a dragon leaping in pursuit of a 'flaming pearl' amid flaming clouds, the cavetto with two similar dragons striding in mutual pursuit, repeated on the underside, all reserved on a ground of semi-translucent pale green, the base with a six-character mark within a double circle in underglaze blue. Diameter 8 1/2 in., 21.6 cm
