the deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot, painted to the exterior in varying tones of cobalt-blue with five lily blossoms borne on a continuous leafy scrolling stem, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a stylized lotus bloom surrounded by tender leaves, all reserved on a deep iron-red ground, the base with a six-character mark in underglaze blue.
