The vase is divided into eight bracketed lobes, moulded on the neck and shoulders with horizontal ribs, covered overall with an even glaze of pale sea-green tone.
Note: Vases of this type are rare with only very few known examples. A Qianlong celadon-glazed vase of this form is illustrated in Yamanaka & Company, Collection of Chinese and Other Far Eastern Art, New York, 1943, no. 1265. Another was sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 20 November 1984, lot 451. A third one was sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 23 October 2005, lot 328.
