With slightly rounded sides rising from a high foot to an everted foliate rim, the interior incised with undulating lines radiating from the medallion to form petals, the reverse similarly incised, all under an even greenish-grey celadon glaze thinning slightly at the rim and stopping neatly around the base, Japanese wood box.
