The slightly flared sides gently fluted to form six lobes, each carved a large peony spray, the mouth rim of conforming petal shape, raised on a low splayed foot ring, the glaze of an olive-green tone.
Note: Compare with a six-petal shallow dish dated to the Northern Song dynasty carved with hibiscus, excaved in 1984 at the Huangbao kiln site, Tongchuan city, illustrated in Complete Collection of Ceramic Art Unearthed in China, 15, Shaanxi, Science Press, 2008, no. 121.
