The dish is decorated to the interior with a shou character within a shaped cartouche, supported by a large lingzhi and surrounded by five cranes in flight amidst clouds and further lingzhi and peach sprigs, all above froth-capped waves crashing against a rock. The exterior is similarly decorated with cranes in flight, Japanese wood box.
