the first of a seated Wenchang, god of literature, wearing robes of a civil official, decorated in famille-rose enamels, holding a scroll; the second of Guandi seated on a throne, wearing intricately molded and incised armor beneath a long dragon robe secured by a belt, one hand holding a copy of the Spring and Autumn Annals, the fierce face with remnants of mustache (2).
