The jar is heavily potted with fluted sides standing on a narrow foot flaring widely to the broad shoulders rising to a straight rim. The cover with a floriform rim has similar fluted sides surmounted by a lotus-pod-form finial. The jar and cover are covered in a thick glaze of sea-green tone pooling to a deeper colour at the recesses, exposing the chocolate-brown body at the rims, box.
