The censer of slightly compressed globular form with a waisted neck applied with a gilt band and two loop handles, the exterior brightly enamelled with lotus blooms borne on leafy scrolls, all on a bright turquoise ground, the stepped domed cover enamelled with a band of stylised flower heads surmounted by a gilt knop finial.
Provenance: Lucien J. Jerome, British Consul to Mexico, circa 1900, by repute.
