The censer is carved around the body with a faint band of ruyi-heads and is applied with two animal-head handles. It is surmounted with a carved and pierced wood stand with an ivory figural finial. The dish is carved to the interior with ridges emanating from the centre, the glaze pooling to a darker tone within the crevices.
Provenance: The censer: acquired in Beijing in February 1959.
The dish: acquired in Jinan on 12 November 1958.
