The interior is covered with white glaze and the exterior is decorated with a glaze of mercurial blue, which deepens from the rim of the mouth downwards, the glaze is bright and lustrous, and the colour is like that of sapphire. The base is glazed white and signed 'Made in the Yongzheng era of the Qing dynasty' in six characters in regular script.
