Jizhou kiln is located in Yonghe Town, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province today. It was built and fired in the Northern Song Dynasty. Later, as the Song Dynasty moved southward, some craftsmen of Cizhou kiln moved with them, making the traces of the exchange of crafts between the north and the south reflected in Jizhou kiln very obvious. The underglaze painting decoration technique of Jizhou kiln is the most famous and had a great influence on the future Jingdezhen blue and white porcelain. This plum vase has a long neck, plump shoulders, and plump shape. The lower part of the abdomen gradually tapers into a round foot, and the carcass is delicate. The body of the vessel is divided into three layers with string patterns: the neck is painted with a banana leaf pattern; the shoulders are painted with lotus flowers; the belly is painted with a swirling branch flower pattern; the body of the bottle is painted with sea waves, which are skillfully drawn and fully reflect the style of Jizhou Kiln in the Southern Song Dynasty.
