This colour variety of ruby may also be called "pigeon's blood red" in the trade. Further accompanied by Gübelin appendix, stating that the ruby is from the most famed Mogok Valley and 'possesses a richly saturated and homogeneous colour, combined with a high degree of transparency, and a finely proportioned cut". Also accompanied by SSEF appendix letter stating that this exceptional ruby "represents a great rarity and the described gemstone with its combination of outstanding characteristics is thus a very exceptional treasure."
