It is carved with a wide band of foliate meander below a key-fret band, the concave warming surface similarly carved around a central bloom, the unglazed, countersunk base burnt orange in the firing around a central aperture through which the hollowed interior would have been filled. 8¼ in. (21 cm.) diam. Estimate £3,000 – £5,000 ($5,076 - $8,460)
