Baluster shape with accentuated shoulder and a sweeping mouth rim. The wall and the neck are decorated with two revolves with peasants at the harvest and fisherman. The reserves are framed by a detailed mosaic with flowers and a garland of ruyi heads, peonies and chrysanthemums. The shoulder is accented by spirals elements with clouds and lotus flowers as well as with medallions of scholars utensils. Additional lotus flowers and circles frame the reserve at the neck and a revolving border of flowers adorns the upper edge. Base with the six-character Kangxi mark in a double circle. Height, each: 45 cm. Good condition 

Famille Verte 

The term Famille Verte describes a specific sort of Chinese export porcelain from the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th centuries. During the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1662-1722), Chinese porcelain manufacturers strove to create new forms and decorative techniques to cater to their clients’ needs in China and abroad. One of these decorations became particularly successful – the Famille Verte. Recognisable components are finely detailed decorations in enamel paint, over a coat of glaze – chiefly executed and showing various shades of green.
