Of deep conical form, the rounded sides divided into six shallow lobes rising to a gently flared rim, the interior boldly and freely carved with two large peony blooms nestling amongst dense luscious leaves, covered overall with a transparent bluish glaze pooling to a darker tone in the recessed areas, the base unglazed exposing the pale body partly burnt orange in the firing..
